I had an exterminator tell me that your average mouse can fit through a hole the size of a dime. be it in the wall, in the basement, in the foundation, under the stairs, they arent picky so long as a food source is available and its relatively dry and warm. they arent even particular about the dry part so long as its warm.

if it can get up there it will pee there. an easy way to tell if a mouse has urinated somewhere (if you really want to know) is with a flourescent light. if it has peed there recently it will show up a bright yellow green under the flourescent light.

trap it you don`t want it to die some where in the oven

no, only trap it, a dead baited mouse can hid somewhere else in the oven.

I have the same problem only it has chewed a hole in my screen so its literally on the window. I threw a snowball at it.. suddenly it is gone but Im half afraid it found its way inside. I keep thinkin glue trap but I dont have any yet. some would argue that its not humane.. I argue. neither are the diseases that it carries.
